Work With Me!

About this Service

Hi, I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, fully insured and a member of both the BACP and NCS. I am an accredited member of The Foundation for Infant Loss and have completed separate training in working with Suicidal clients and Bereavement.

With over 20 years experience of dealing with significant life events and complex mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, social phobia, relationship issues and bereavement. I will work with you to help you to achieve your goals. I will not tell you what to do, or make judgements or assumptions, but I will listen to what is impacting on your life and will guide you in a way which will help you to process and make sense of what is happening. What I will do is draw upon my personal and professional experience, knowledge and thorough assessment of your needs and together will help you work through and provide strategies to enable you to live the life you want.

The first step is recognising that you may need therapy – It may be an individual decision, a friend, relative, colleague or medical professional referral. Each client is unique and requires individualised interventions and techniques to assist in your recovery, delivered at your pace. As an Integrative Therapist – I can use a variety of therapy models to help you including CBT, Person Centred Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, NLP , Motivational Interviewing and Coaching.

Counselling is a personal choice and not all therapists work the same way, it is important that you feel comfortable, safe and heard when accessing therapy. My experience of working with Mental Health and traumatic life events, allows me to understand the impact of unforeseen life changes and stressful situations, including the impact on family and friends. I adhere to strict professional and ethical guidelines as well as receiving regular clinical supervision and attend regular Continuous Professional Development to ensure I stay up to date with my learning.

Please feel free to contact me with any queries and I look forward to hearing from you.
