Sara Abusamra
About this Service
Hello, I’m Sara.
I am a qualified integrative therapist; a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and a strong advocate for mindful, emotional support and personal healing via talking therapies.
As an integrative therapist, I combine various methods to suit your needs and support your self-exploration during sessions. I believe that you are the expert in your life, and it is my role to provide you with the right conditions, tools, and support to enable you to explore any feelings and emotions which may feel overbearing, confusing, or painful. This giving you the chance to gain some peace and clarity and begin to live a fulfilling life as your true authentic self.
My empathetic, genuine, and kind nature has been an essential part of my background in palliative/end of life care, substance misuse, homelessness and sheltered accommodation. This work along with continued professional development and life experience, has given me knowledge and awareness of working with:
abuse, addiction, anxiety, baby loss, bereavement and loss, bullying, depression, domestic violence, end of life, family issues, gender identity, homelessness, life
skills and management, Parkinson’s, rape and sexual violence, relationships, separation and divorce, self esteem and self concept, self harm, social anxiety,
stress, substance misuse, suicide, trauma and work related issues.
I feel it is important to remember that beginning your counselling journey can feel overwhelming and daunting, however seeking support is the first step in looking after yourself and that is something to feel proud of. We all need a space to communicate freely and to be heard without judgement, therefore it is my aim to offer an open minded, down to earth counselling environment for you to do this.
Thank you for reading my profile. I look forward to working with you.
