I believe that development as a therapist comes from the freedom to explore, experience and think within the safety of a clearly boundaried, accepting supervisory relationship.

Qualifications
I’ve been counselling since 1995, and work with individuals including adolescents, both long term and short term. I offer a safely boundaried relationship where we work with openness, sensitivity and challenge. My experience includes Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Primary Care (GP counsellor for 7 years), college counselling and private practice since 2003. My private practice includes work for Employee Assistance Programmes and work for insurers. I’m a BACP Senior Accredited and Registered Counsellor with a Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from University of Warwick, 1998, Certificate in Person Centred Art Therapy Skills, 2002, PostGraduate Diploma in CBT for Person Centred Therapists, 2009. I also have a qualification in Supervision from Temenos and am in training to become a Focusing Practitioner. Before training as a counsellor I was a Senior Lecturer in Further Education, mainly teaching languages to adults and adolescents on really diverse courses such as BTEC, Access, A levels, HND, as well as teaching languages in industry. I’ve a PGCE, a BA and an MA in French literature.
