Qualifications
As an experienced Senior Psychotherapist, Group Analyst and Supervisor, I provide psychotherapy and counselling for people with mental health issues. I have extensive experience with more than 20 years in various clinical settings (NHS, Family Action and IMECE Women’s Centre in the UK, Amita Mercy Medical Centre in the USA) and client-centred environments, notably within the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK to support different client groups. I have been supervised by Melanie Klein`s daughter Josephine Klein and Sophie Boswell for some time.
Moving a lot throughout my life has enabled me to experience of many different cultures, traditions, and values and helped me grow to be a culturally sensitive psychotherapist. I value difference and welcome everyone who would like to get support from my psychotherapy practice. I invite clients from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, identities, religion, disability, sexuality, age, and gender.
My therapeutic approach is psychoanalytic informed by intercultural and transcultural concepts. I also have training in different approaches and thus, integrate these in my clinical practice. I often combine my psychoanalytic training with Eye-Movement Therapy (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to meet the unique needs of my clients. My professional work and participation in different courses have enabled me to deal effectively with a wide range of client needs, colleagues, and management in a variety of settings. I have a strong commitment to provide effective psychotherapy service, and this has been displayed within the diverse roles I have undertaken.
I generally see clients once a week and sometimes more often if needed.
I provide psychotherapy and counselling in English, Turkish, Albanian and Macedonian.
