About this Service
My approach to psychotherapy is Integrative. This means it is led by the needs of each client rather than by following a particular theoretical approach and more importantly it places the relationship between myself and my client as the most important factor for a successful outcome. The relationship needs to be based on mutual trust, my client needs to feel safe and assured that what we discuss is treated with respect and utmost confidentiality. The relationship betweem myself and my client must be flexible and responsive to my client’s needs and the context. There are many different theoretical approaches to psychotherapy but research has shown that the most important factor for a successfull outcome is the client/therapist relationship. As an Integrative psychotherapist I also see the importance of taking all aspects of oneself, emotional, physical, spritual, social, cultural and cognitive into consideration in order to develop an integrated sense of self.
According to the needs of each client I draw on concepts from a range of different theoretical models including Humanistic, Person-Centred, T A, CBT and Existential.
