Qualifications

I began as a hypnotherapist, and then trained as a counsellor, and then as a psychotherapist. I gained a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, a diploma in counselling, and a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy.

While training, I worked in Primary Care (a GP surgery) as a counsellor and group psychotherapist.

And, then later, I set up my private practice in rooms at the back of my house, and I have been here ever since (15 years).

It is a lovely quiet comfortable room, with long glass doors out to a private garden.

As well as therapy, I got interested in Coaching and personal development. So I went on to become qualified as a Master NLP practitioner and as a Life Coach. And, then later still i became an accredited trainer, and speaker.

I have seen all kinds of people, in all different stages of their life, and with a variety of concerns, fears, and problems. I do not judge.

My aim is to bring results. To take you forward to where your life is working and/or to where you feel much better.

I’m an interactive kind of therapist. I take in a lot of information first, and check with you that I am understanding and ‘getting’ you.

And then we work together on the problem (I do not sit by passively).

When we are together in the session, it mostly feels like chatting. I keep things relaxed and friendly, while being respectful as well. The ‘chatting’ will have a focus. There is always a reason why we are following one avenue, even though it does just feel like we are talking.
